The new 2026 ASUS Zenbook A16 (UX3607), an ultralight 16″ laptop which features the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme processor, is scheduled to be available in Q1 of 2026 (most likely end of February in the UK, so authorised distributors will currently be taking pre-orders). With regular use the battery life lasts 21+ hours. The end user can fast charge the battery too, getting 50% power in 30 minutes.
Focus on Portability
Announced at CES 2026, this 16-inch Copilot+ PC is designed for high performance with a focus on a lightweight, thin design.
Feted as the “lightest” ASUS 16″ Zenbook, it certainly does not weigh much at 1.2kg (however weight will increase depending on optional exras added), making it ideal for commuters and hybrid workers. Its lightness comes from ASUS’s use of Ceraluminum™, used across the lid, frame, and base.
ASUS Ceraluminum™
At the core of the ASUS Zenbook series is ASUS’ patented Ceraluminum™ technology: an industry-first innovation for hardness/strength, lightness (in terms of weight) and texture. It offers scratch resistance, stain resistance and smudge resistance, increasing its longevity. This high-tech ceramic, revered in aerospace and luxury watches, combines the lightness and hardness of ceramic with the malleability of metal, perfect for ultra-slim, durable designs.
Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme Processor
The UX3607 has an up to 18-core Snapdragon® X2 Elite Extreme processor with 80 TOPS NPU, making the Zenbook A16 the fastest and most powerful Snapdragon laptop, outperforming the Snapdragon X2 Elite (X2E-88-100) and Snapdragon X Elite (X1E-78-100) in Qualcomm testing.
With a 192‑bit data superhighway and discrete‑card‑level graphics, it enables ultra‑smooth gaming, faster content creation, and lightning‑quick data flow for limitless multitasking. For streaming and downloading it can run on an up to 228 GB/s bandwidth.
3K OLED immersive visual and 6 speakers
The Zenbook A16 features up to an ASUS Lumina 3K 120 Hz OLED display with 1100 nits peak brightness on the panel for ultra-vivid detail, paired with up to six super-linear speakers that deliver crystal-clear sound. Considering eye safety, it is low blue light hardware certified.
Smart Security
There is the option to log in with Windows Hello facial recognition and stay protected by Microsoft Pluton’s hardware-to-cloud defenses.
Fingertip-friendly Keyboard & ErgoSense Touchpad
The full-size, fingertip-friendly keyboard makes typing faster and more comfortable. Its durable Excimer-coated keycaps were built for the long haul, tested to withstand 50,000 rubbing cycles without any sign of wear.
The ErgoSense touchpad supports multitouch gestures in Windows and ASUS Smart Gestures, so the end user can use one, three- or four-finger shortcuts to launch frequently-used applications or instant media and system controls.
