Rootshell Security partners MSPAlliance

Rootshell Security has an expanded strategic partnership with MSPAlliance, a global industry association and certification body for managed service providers (MSPs).

Rootshell Security helps organisations and service providers stay ahead of evolving threats through continuous penetration testing, exposure management, and the Rootshell Platform. The Rootshell platform is an integrated hub for vulnerability visibility, risk prioritisation, and remediation tracking.

Engaging with the MSP community enables Rootshell Security to align its continuous testing model with the MSPAlliance Cyber Verify™ certification program, a framework purpose-built for MSPs and recognised globally as a benchmark for service provider security and compliance.

Steve Smith, SVP of Strategic Alliances at Rootshell Security, commented:

“Our partnership with MSPAlliance goes beyond technology — it’s about helping MSPs achieve and maintain trusted certification standards. MSPAlliance’s continuous certification model aligns perfectly with our continuous penetration testing approach, enabling providers to demonstrate ongoing compliance and strengthen their security posture year-round.”

Through this collaboration, MSPAlliance members will benefit from a continuous assessment and certification framework designed specifically for MSP operations. Rootshell’s solutions can help address and meet a range of MSPAlliance control requirements – particularly around threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident readiness, ensuring MSPs maintain compliance between formal audit cycles.

Charles Weaver, CEO and Co-Founder of MSPAlliance, added:

“Rootshell’s continuous testing and monitoring capabilities complement MSPAlliance’s mission to raise the security and accountability of the global MSP community. As governments worldwide introduce new regulations to enhance the cybersecurity resilience of MSPs, this partnership provides the proactive tools and certification pathways they need to stay compliant and protect client environments.”

The partnership enables MSPs to demonstrate a higher level of assurance to their customers – showing that their networks, endpoints, and data are managed under independently verified security controls. MSPs can extend these advanced testing and certification-aligned services to their own clients, further reinforcing trust and creating new revenue opportunities.
