Civo: One of the first to Host NVIDIA Vera Rubin for UK Sovereign AI

Civo to provide the liquid cooling environment needed to run the platform

Civo, the UK-based cloud and sovereign AI platform, will be among the first providers globally to host NVIDIA Vera Rubin in its new liquid cooled data centres.

NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin platform is the successor to its Blackwell architecture and is built for the era of Agentic AI. The update signals a move from prompt-based systems to AI agents capable of taking multi-step actions, using tools and performing complex reasoning. The architecture includes 288GB of HBM4 memory per GPU, and its density means liquid cooling isn’t optional, but is a necessary infrastructure precondition.

The demand for AI is straining the global hardware market, allowing the largest companies to monopolise access to the next generation of technology. This has resulted in start-ups and regional players being forced to wait several months to rent the computing power needed to create or deploy their models. But ordering next-generation GPUs is only half the challenge. Vera Rubin’s power density carries a liquid-cooling requirement most providers currently aren’t equipped to meet. Civo is addressing that gap in the UK, pairing hardware with the environment it needs to run.

Mark Boost, CEO at Civo, has said:

“We’re proud to be among the first providers globally to host NVIDIA Vera Rubin within our brand new liquid cooled data centres. The UK needs robust domestic AI infrastructure, and that’s exactly what Civo is delivering. It’s not enough to have access to the next generation of hardware. You need the facilities to actually run it. NVIDIA’s platform provides UK organisations with true sovereign infrastructure, and computing power that stays under UK jurisdiction and control. This means they can commit to serious, long-term AI strategies without relying on infrastructure controlled from outside the UK.”

Civo offers an internationally scalable cloud, powered by its own cloud stack architecture, with transparent pricing and no egress charges. Headquartered in London, Civo provides its customers assurance of regional compliance, enabling them to store sensitive workloads in accordance with local laws and regulations.
