Davies and McDonough join evo Board as Non Exec Directors

evo has announced the appointment of Paul Davies and Aidan McDonough as non-executive directors of evo group.

Andrew Gale, evo CEO, welcoming both men, has stated:

“I’m delighted to welcome both Paul and Aidan to the evo Board. Both gentlemen will enhance our Board. Paul will support our CFO and cover governance and financial matters. While Aidan ensures that the voice of the dealer community will be heard at the evo Board table. Both are not shy in coming forward, so I am hoping for some interesting debates around the Board table.”

Aidan McDonough

Aidan McDonough is a stalwart of the office supplies industry, having spent over 30 years in various leadership positions at Integra, and currently serving as Chairman of dealer group BLOC, following the merger of Integra and Office Friendly in October 2025. A steadfast advocate for the independent channel, McDonough is the long-serving Chair of purchasing organisation BPGI and the Chair of UK trade association BOSS Federation.

Aidan brings a huge amount of knowledge of the dealer channel, and his appointment reiterates evo’s commitment to this channel going forward. Throughout his career, he has championed strategic consolidation, diversification, and member-focused innovation.

Paul Davies

Paul Davies is an experienced audit leader with three decades in professional services, including the last 10 years as Head of Audit for Yorkshire and the North East at BDO. Over his career, he has specialised in working with large privately owned and private equity-backed groups across a range of sectors, with particular depth in retail and wholesale businesses spanning both B2B and B2C models.

Paul brings extensive expertise in financial governance, risk management, and supporting organisations through periods of change and growth. After 30 years in professional services, he is moving into the next stage of his career and is delighted to be joining evo at an exciting point in its development. Commenting, Paul has stated:

“I look forward to helping the group navigate its next phase, strengthening governance and risk frameworks, and applying my experience to support the business as it evolves and positions itself for the future.”

Employee Owned evo

Headquartered in Normanton (near Sheffield), the evo group is made up of 6 different brands, generating in excess of £500m of sales and employing 2,000 people across 26 locations in the UK and Ireland.

It provides sourcing, storage, specialist and value-added fulfilment services to resellers, consumers, large public sector bodies and corporate organisations and offers the full range of business-critical supplies from hygiene essentials, facility supplies, paper, furniture and technology.

evo is now majority owned by its employees, having undergone a successful completion of a Management Buyout in March 2025. At the time, Andrew Gale, evo CEO, offered all evo employees the chance to purchase shares in the company, and following the closure of the share offering, 330 colleagues took up the opportunity to buy shares, purchasing over 1.3 million shares between them between March and August 2025.
