Exertis bolsters Gaming team with New Talent

Specialist distributor Exertis has announced new talent in its gaming business unit, boosting its focus and capabilities in the gaming market.

Barry Sales is the most recent addition to the Exertis consumer leadership team, joining as Business Development Director and reporting directly to Jon Sutherland, Managing Director of Exertis Consumer.

Barry Sales, Business Development Director, said: “With over 30 years of sales experience in the CE industry, I’m excited to bring a unique perspective to Exertis. My expertise and experience across the UK market has developed a deep understanding of the complexities and nuances of sales operations, and one of my key strengths is my ability to identify and capitalise on emerging market trends. I look forward to furnishing my team with the toolkit for success.”

Existing Xbox and Gaming General Manager, Gemma Walters, has now been promoted into a new Head of Gaming role reporting to Barry. Rachel Town has joined the business to take over Gemma’s previous role, responsible for Xbox, Gaming and Software, and reports to Stephen Duke, Sales and Commercial Director.

Our goal is to drive meaningful growth across our gaming proposition by working closely with our customers and brand partners to deliver innovative, best in class solutions. I’m looking forward to building on our strong foundations and taking our gaming business to the next level.”

Neil Cartwright will join the business on 27 May 2025 as Business Manager responsible for Software and Digital and will report to Rachel Town. Both Neil and Rachel arrive at Exertis with many years tenure at Game, bringing great industry relationships as well as unique perspectives which will enhance Exertis’ specialist gaming business.

I’m delighted to be joining the team at Exertis and I’m looking forward to driving growth across our Gaming pillar, seeking new business and partner opportunities to strengthen our specialist gaming position in the market, and developing existing relationships whilst building new ones.”
