Remanufactured and Refurbished laptop specialist, Circular Computing, has signed an agreement with Distributor Exertis, giving Exertis customers and resellers access to carbon-neutral refurbished Dell, HP and Lenovo laptops.
Martin Browning, Business Development Director Services at Exertis, shared his thoughts on this exciting partnership: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Circular Computing, not only so we can offer our customers the highest quality refurbished laptops, but also so we can offer a genuinely sustainable solution for the provision of IT equipment. Sustainability is high on the agenda in the IT industry, and we feel that this partnership can be a significant contributor towards improving sustainability and re-enforcing the benefits of the circular economy.”
Circular Computing have invested years of research and development into sustainable IT and have built a state-of-the-art remanufacturing and refurbishment facility, with the refurbishment process delivering a ‘like new’ cosmetic renewal, and an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) of less than 3%.
Circular Computing’s refurbished laptops are not graded. The environmental impact calculation that is applied when purchasing one of Circular Computing laptops, instead of purchasing new, is calculated, by Circular Computing, as:
- preventing approximately 316kg of CO2 emissions
- conserving 190,000 litres of water and
- avoiding 1,200kg of earth from being mined in the search for precious minerals.
In addition, for every Circular Computing laptop sold, a family is provided with clean water for a week, through Circular Computing’s partnership with their charity called Charity: water.
Rod Neale, CEO of Circular Computing stated: “We are delighted to be joining forces with Exertis and bringing our range of refurbished laptops to the market. This feels like an important next step in building the sustainable IT market in the IT industry and we are confident in the success of the partnership.”
