Introducing the Lenovo ThinkStation P4
Lenovo™ has announced the ThinkStation P4, believed to be the first workstation in the world to feature the power and efficiency of the latest AMD Ryzen™ PRO 9000 Series processors, the extreme AI compute of the NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition GPUs, a cutting-edge thermal design and future-ready expandability.
A desktop engineered to set new benchmarks in its class, the ThinkStation P4 is optimised for AI tasks and designed for professionals tackling increasingly complex workflows.
As workflows become more complex and AI-driven, professionals of all levels require systems that
keep pace with their evolving needs. According to Tom Butler, Vice President, Commercial Portfolio and Product Management, Lenovo Intelligent Devices Group, who comments:
“According to the CIO Playbook 2026, two thirds of companies prefer hybrid AI as their primary model, making workstations capable of handling AI workflows on-device a must. The ThinkStation P4 provides a strong balance of performance and value, packing flagship workstation capability in a scalable offering for engineers, designers, architects, creators and more.”
Productivity, Capability and Efficiency
At the core of the 30L workstation is an AMD Ryzen™ PRO 9000 Series processor, delivering the
performance and efficiency required for demanding professional workloads.
With select models featuring the first-ever implementation of AMD 3D V-Cache™ Technology in the professional segment, the platform enables faster data access and improved performance in complex, data intensive applications.
Lenovo ThinkStation P4 comes with discrete graphics options, including an NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000
Blackwell Workstation Edition GPU or RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Max-Q Workstation Edition GPU,
offering the highest levels of performance and AI processing capability.
Combined with up to 256GB of DDR5 memory and an advanced thermal design with liquid cooling for the highest performance AMD Ryzen™ PRO 9000 processors, this desktop workstation is designed to remain cool, quiet and consistent under sustained workloads such as 3D animation, editing, compositing, CAD, BIM, solid modelling, simulation, rendering and software development. (Actual available internal memory and storage capacity will be less than 256GB of DDR5 memory, and vary due to many factors, including formatting, partitioning and operating system the end user selects, as these factors use part of this capacity. The available capacity may also change with software updates.)
Hybrid AI, Flexibility and Long-Term Value In Mind
Lenovo’s ThinkStation P4 enables a new level of productivity for professionals in architecture and
engineering, automotive, manufacturing, media and entertainment, finance, education and more,
with on-device AI for faster inference, simulations and data-heavy workflows without latency or
reliance on cloud connectivity.
Engineered to adapt, upgrade and reduce long-term costs, it supports PCIe Gen 5 and comes with 4 expansion slots, has a hybrid storage architecture with up to 6 total drives that combine M.2 Gen5
SSDs with high-capacity HDD options, and has plenty of connectivity options, including USB-C®
(20Gbps), DisplayPort™ 2.0, integrated 2.5Gb Ethernet and more.
Security, Reliability and Responsibility
Beyond performance, the ThinkStation P4 is protected by Lenovo ThinkShield, a comprehensive
suite of hardware-based and firmware-level security features for end-to-end protection. With
ThinkShield, the ThinkStation P4 automatically comes with BIOS-level protections, secured wipe,
and integrated privacy controls to help safeguard sensitive data and ensure enterprise-grade
security.
It includes ISV-certifications for optimised performance and reliability for leading professional
application developers, including AVID®, Altair®, Autodesk®, ANSYS®, Bentley®, Dassault®,
Nemetschek®, PTC®, Siemens®.
The ThinkStation P4 incorporates recycled materials in its chassis, including 95% PCC ABS plastics and 16% recycled steel, is EPEAT® Gold4 registered, ENERGY STAR® 9.0, and TCO Certified 10.
