  • New predictive software security product to be launched in March 2026

Origina is expanding its operations in Ireland, creating 350 roles, supported by Enterprise Ireland. The expansion is expected to deliver up to €28 million in annual direct economic contribution to the Irish economy.

Origina specialises in independent software support and maintenance, for enterprise software from vendors including IBM, HCL, and VMware.

The plan will enable Origina to scale globally, with Ireland as its centre for future growth. The new roles will span disciplines including software engineering, security, data and AI, and enterprise technology operations.

Tomás O’Leary, CEO of Origina, has commented:

“I am delighted to announce Origina’s significant expansion in Ireland, with the creation of 350 new jobs at our new global headquarters in Dublin, made possible with the support from Enterprise Ireland. This investment in our Irish operations reflects our ambition to grow and scale the company over the next five years. I’m incredibly proud of the team and the innovation, dedication and ingenuity they bring as we continue on this growth journey.”

Origina is investing in a larger, technology-forward Dublin office based in Sandyford, which will serve as a central hub for product development, innovation, and collaboration. Ireland will continue to act as Origina’s strategic base for delivering services and innovation to enterprise customers globally, supporting the company’s continued growth across Europe, North America, and other international markets.

New Software Security Product in March 2026

Origina has recently launched a “world-first” predictive software security product, that helps enterprises stay ahead of emerging vulnerabilities before they can be exploited. Powered by a proprietary AI engine built on Origina’s deep expertise supporting mission-critical enterprise software, the solution moves security from reactive patching to predictive prevention, cutting security and compliance risk at the source.

“This launch underscores Origina’s security-first approach and our focus on applying AI where it delivers real impact,” said Tomás O’Leary, CEO of Origina. “As scrutiny around operational resilience increases, enterprises need solutions that reduce risk before incidents occur. This product will be available to all our customers from March.”

By shifting vulnerability management upstream, the product enables organisations to put reasonable, proportionate preventative controls in place across complex and mature environments where traditional patching falls short, while supporting evolving EU and UK expectations for cyber resilience and operational continuity.

Enterprise Ireland backing for Origina

Jenny Melia, CEO of Enterprise Ireland, commenting on Origina’s ambitions and 2026 plan has said:

“One of our key priorities for the next year and beyond is to support the ambition of Irish entrepreneurs to help them to scale globally. The integration of AI as a growth engine for Irish exporters and start-ups will play a big part of this. According to our recent client survey, nearly nine in ten (87%) of our client base are already integrating or planning to integrate AI into their business operations, with two-thirds believing AI and digitalisation will be critical in winning future international business.”

Jenny ends by saying, “Origina, announcing 350 new jobs today, is a great example of an ambitious, Irish company growing customers through continuous innovation and I commend them on the launch of their new predictive security product and we look forward to continuing to support them on their growth journey.”
