Mimecast partners with Exclusive Networks to help UK companies protect against growing cyber attacks

Mimecast, an email and collaboration security company, has today announced that it has partnered with the global cyber security specialist distributor, Exclusive Networks, to enable more companies to work protected against cyberattacks and continue to grow in a complex and ever-evolving threat landscape.

To support the UKI launch, Exclusive Networks has recruited, and will continue to expand and enable a team that is dedicated to Mimecast. Once fully in place and enabled, the extended channel team across both organisations, will increase new business performance by 50%+ over the next two years and beyond.

Mimecast has been a valuable Computacenter vendor for many years and the recently announced partnership with Exclusive networks can only enhance what is already a fruitful relationship.

This partnership announcement forms a key pillar of Mimecast’s ambitious growth plans and is being rolled out in the UK and Ireland, the Middle East, and Israel with further regional expansion plans being discussed for roll-out through to March 31st 2023.

The Next Stage

Mimecast has announced a new and exciting partnership with global cyber security specialist distributor, Exclusive Networks, as the company pursues the next stage of its growth journey and to continue to provide their valued partners with a world-class experience.

In May of this year, Mimecast completed its acquisition by the global investment firm, Permira, for approximately $5.8 billion. Permira has a strong track record of working with companies in Europe, marking Mimecast’s renewed focus both in the UK and across the EU. The UK and European markets have characteristic dynamics, notably the need to focus on strengthening channel partnerships, and the agreement with Exclusive Networks is seen as an important milestone in this regard.

Commenting on the partnership, Tom Corrigan, Director, Distribution and Systems Integrators EMEA at Mimecast said: “We’re thrilled to announce this partnership and we are excited to work with Exclusive Networks, their partner community and their wider portfolio of cyber security vendors. This partnership will make it easier for the channel community to do business with Mimecast by simplifying engagement and it will enhance their partnership journey from day 1 onboarding, through to technical and sales enablement, whilst at the same time activating additional resources, skills and services that extend our channel, drive demand and reach more customers that we can help work protected.”

Matt Paynter, Vendor Alliances Director, Exclusive Networks UK and Ireland, said ‘We are extremely excited to be announcing this new partnership. Mimecast has a channel reputation that we really admire, partners speak so highly of their Channel first philosophy. Getting the results they have had to date is remarkable and we at Exclusive are very much looking forward to being part of the next phase of growth, driving more adoption of Mimecast as well as developing a more enabled channel to help companies work protected.

Partners will benefit from our services first approach, providing a breadth of services at every stage of the sales cycle to support business growth. It’s also an exciting time as we add to our Vendor eco-system, our portfolio offers multiple strategic alliances for Mimecast which opens more opportunity for our partners to explore. In short, we are aligned on our goals and there is also a fantastic alignment culturally which we are just as excited about.’

Colin Williams, Business Line CTO UK – Networking & Security, Computacenter:
“We are proud of our long-standing relationships with Mimecast and Exclusive Networks. Mimecast has been a valuable Computacenter vendor for many years and the recently announced partnership with Exclusive networks can only enhance what is already a fruitful relationship. The highly effective Exclusive networks business development engine already used by Computacenter for joint GTM messaging, marketing plus access to dedicated Exclusive / Mimecast sales and technical resources are examples of value-added benefits unlocked by the new partnership. We look forward to pursuing the next stage of our growth journey with Mimecast and Exclusive Networks as we continue to protect our customers from the number one threat vector: email.”
