International Women’s Day is on Sunday, 8 March 2026. News in the Channel pays homage to all women, especially those in the Technology sector, and we use the opportunity to highlight four women in the IT industry that are at the top of their game. All four women are heading up large global enterprises and we celebrate them as role models and business leaders.
Lisa Su, CEO of AMD (Advanced Micro Devices)
Lisa T Su, Ph.D. is a Taiwanese-American business executive and electrical engineer who has served as the president, CEO, and chair of AMD. She is widely credited with leading a dramatic turnaround of the company, transforming it into a major competitor against Intel and NVIDIA in high-performance computing and AI. She shifted AMD’s strategy to focus on high-performance data centre chips, gaming (console chips for Xbox/PlayStation), and AI accelerators.
Safra Catz, Executive Vice Chair of Oracle’s Board of Directors
Safra Catz is an Israeli-American business executive, who served as the Co-CEO of Oracle Corporation from 2014 (sole CEO from 2019) to September 2025. Known for her expertise in mergers and acquisitions, she has guided Oracle’s transition to cloud computing and artificial intelligence. She has been with Oracle since 1999. She is known for her astute financial acumen in corporate strategy.
Joyce Mullen, President and CEO of Insight
Joyce Mullen assumed her role in January 2022 as president and CEO of Insight Enterprises, a US$9.4 billion Fortune 500 organisation. She leads Insight’s evolution as an industry-recognised solutions integrator that helps organisations accelerate their digital journey and maximise the business value of technology.
Christine Leahy, President and CEO of CDW
Christine A. Leahy is the Chair, President & Chief Executive Officer of CDW Corporation, a multi-brand technology solutions provider to business, government, education, and healthcare customers. She is a champion for inclusion, empowerment and equity and serves on the Boards of several voluntary, non-profit and philanthropic organisations.
