QBS Software has appointed Kerrie Steenkamp as Group Chief Operating Officer (COO).
In this newly elevated role, Steenkamp will oversee revenue operations, process excellence*, post acquisition integration and uplift, leading multifunctional teams across the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Turkey, Hungary, Saudi Arabia and South Africa.
Steenkamp will report directly to Group CEO Dave Stevinson and work in close partnership with the Group Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Revenue Officer as QBS advances its next phase of operational scale and refinement.
On her appointment, Dave Stevinson, Group CEO of QBS Software & Prianto Group has remarked:
“Kerrie was the standout candidate and her deep channel knowledge combined with her tenacity made her the preferred candidate for this most critical role. Her leadership will be instrumental as we build a world-class operating engine to support our expanding vendor portfolio and rapidly growing global footprint.”
Steenkamp joins QBS with over 20 years of leadership experience in the technology channel, most recently heading the EMEA supply chain function at Insight. She will be based out of the Alderley Edge headquarters, working closely with teams in Johannesburg, South Africa and across the wider QBS organisation.
“I have had over 2 decades at Insight, and the opportunity at QBS makes absolute sense to progress my career. It is a role that will be intellectually challenging and one that I am confident that I will excel at,” said Kerrie Steenkamp.
QBS continues to scale rapidly, combining double-digit organic growth with a disciplined programme of strategic acquisitions. Positioned as a software delivery platform, QBS blends long-tail software distribution with a value-added distribution capability, enabling vendors and partners to access a unified EMEA-wide channel engine. Today, QBS operates in 20 countries with nearly 500 employees.
With Steenkamp’s appointment, QBS continues to demonstate its commitment to building a high-performance international operations backbone that supports sustainable growth, operational excellence, and vendor success at a global scale.
*Process excellence, also referred to as PEX, is the continuous, methodical improvement of business processes to maximise efficiency, quality, and customer value. It combines mapping, analysis, and sometimes automating business processes to eliminate waste and streamline workflows, ensuring operational consistency. It often transforms how companies operate to deliver faster, cost-effective results.
