Unveiling Myriad™: AV’s New Frontier

Da-Lite Introduces Myriad Electric Screen System with SightLine Cable Drop Feature

Da-Lite, a brand of Legrand | AV, has introduced Myriad™, a new electric screen system designed for both ceiling-recessed and wall/ceiling-mounted applications. The system, which comes with a 16ft SightLine cable drop feature, is available in 14′-16′ wide sizes in 16:9 HDTV and 16:10 Wide formats. Ideal for large meeting spaces, the Myriad system also offers HD Progressive 16K-ready and Parallax Ambient Light Rejection screen surfaces. The Myriad Reveal wall- and ceiling-mounted screen is now available, with the Myriad Conceal ceiling-recessed screen set to be released later in 2024.

Myriad™: A New Dimension in Projection Screens

Da-Lite has launched an electric screen that is set to enhance viewing experiences: the new Myriad™ electric screen system is designed to be ceiling-recessed, wall-, and ceiling-mounted. What sets it apart is the SightLine™ cable drop feature that goes up to 16′ (5 m), giving the illusion of a floating screen.

Impressive Size and Quality

The Myriad™ system comes in varying sizes, from 14′-16′ (4-5 m) wide, perfectly fitting 16:9 HDTV and 16:10 Wide formats. The tensioned products sport HD Progressive 16K-ready and Parallax® Ambient Light Rejection screen surfaces. The integrated anchor points for roller suspension make maintenance very easy. Myriad™ caters for large meeting spaces, conference centres, lecture halls, classrooms, houses of worship and hotel ballrooms.

Wendy Cox, Director, Product Management at Da-Lite, commented on the new product, stating:

“Not only is Myriad an entirely new product, it also delivers on customer demand for the expansion of our SightLine feature. Myriad gives dealers an unprecedented level of flexibility by simplifying ordering, empowering them to expedite installations, and allowing them to make the necessary screen adjustments on the job site.”

Innovative Design Features

The Myriad Conceal ceiling-recessed screen comes with ceiling trim in place to conceal the rough opening, eliminating the need for additional trim work post-installation. The Myriad Reveal wall- and ceiling-mounted screen has versatile and adjustable brackets, which make installation straightforward and stress-free.

SightLine™: No Need for Measuring

The SightLine thin cable drop feature, available on all Myriad models, suspends the screen surface and removes the black drop, leaving no need for measuring and specifying drop distance before ordering. This allows vertical placement of the screen to be adjusted, accommodating a range of drop distances, and creates usable space above the viewing area.

Availability

The Da-Lite Myriad Reveal Electric Screen is currently available for shipping. The Myriad Conceal is set to be released later in 2024.

Final Thoughts

The introduction of Myriad™ by Da-Lite marks a significant step forward in the AV industry. Its versatility, coupled with its innovative design and high-quality projection capabilities, makes it ideal for various large-scale settings. The SightLine feature, in particular, offers an unprecedented level of flexibility and convenience.
